Event announcement of the “Mynavi presents the 29th TOKYO GIRLS COLLECTION 2019 AUTUMN/WINTER”

The Executive Committee of TOKYO GIRLS COLLECTION (planning/production by W TOKYO, Inc) will hold "Mynavi presents the 29th TOKYO GIRLS COLLECTION 2019 AUTUMN/WINTER" (hereafter TGC) on Saturday, September 7, 2019 at the Saitama Super Arena.

The theme for TGC 2019 A/W is "Reiwa Girls' Revolution"!
DUNKWELL designed the key visual feature girls power heading into the new era!

The TGC celebrated 15th year anniversary with the new Reiwa Era. Reiwa holds the meaning of "culture born and nurtured through the beauty in our hearts." This time the theme is "Reiwa Girls' Revolution"—a wish for the globally popular Tokyo girls' culture to shine eternally, and to spur a new era that fills all girls with hopes and dreams for the future.

The key visual for this year was designed by DUNKWELL, a successful international creator who has a unique worldview and is active across a wide range of artistic fields. This visual image conveys the strong power of girls marching forth on the wind of the new era.
As the icon of “TOKYO” girls culture, TGC wish to shine forever with girls who loved Japanese fashion and culture.

TGC will launch the girls' fashion scene in this new Reiwa Era with "bringing Japan's girls' culture to the world" as the theme! Stay tuned for more as TGC's influence grows with its 29th launch!

〈About TOKYO GIRLS COLLECTION〉
TGC is one of the largest-scale fashion festivals in history. It has been held twice a year since August 2005 under the theme of "bringing Japan's girls' culture to the world." A total of about 100 popular models representative of Japan perform in a fashion show displaying Japan's street fashion. The festival also features live performances by impressive artists, a special stage filled with popular guests, booths where participants can touch and try popular items, and various other contents unique to TGC. TGC is gaining attention both in Japan and abroad.
